The Lifecycle of a Temporary Email
When you visit Free Mail, our backend allocates an ephemeral session identifier. This identifier is mapped to a temporary database entry with a strict Time-To-Live (TTL).
Any email sent to your temporary address is received by our custom mail transfer agent, which pushes the message to your browser in real time via WebSockets. There is no need to manually reload the page.
Ephemeral In-Memory Handling
Our automated cleanup worker purges all expired mailboxes once the session countdown reaches zero. The mailbox mapping, address identifier, and every received message body are permanently erased.
We do not retain permanent backups of expired temporary inboxes, ensuring that your temporary communications remain truly ephemeral.
